Knowing the size distribution of soil aggregates is critical to their longevity and functionality. An aggregate’s susceptibility to movement by wind and water as well as its pore capacity are ultimately determined by the size of its particles. A sample’s particle size distribution is analyzed to gain information on the size of the aggregates as they exist in the mass of soil.

The Mikro Air Jet Sieve® is a highly accurate and reliable particle size analyzer for aggregate samples. This versatile device is used throughout the world to determine the particle size distribution of dry powders ranging from 20 µm / #635(mesh) to 4,750µm / #4(目).
